Thursday of last week. The auto came from Brandon's 'livery, and on the trip to Porf Perry the Yegular Chats feur ran the car. On the return trip an han driver took the wheel, and when' they came to the 12th concession of Reach travelling north on the Centre road, he did not notice the jog in the rou until too late to make the turn suc- cessfully. © He applied the brake vefy quickly and at attempted to turn with the result that the car was turned completely-upside down. All the occupants were badly shak- en and injured. Shortly after the accident occurred, Dr. Henders of Saintfield came along; took the party to his office and treat- ed their injuries and then . took - them home to Sunderland. Among the party were Fred Wilkin- son (formerly worked with Mr. Switzer) and Donald Munroe, who was in the Standard Bank here. = They were not seriously injured. The car was badly damaged. lag Day Arrangements are pretty well com- pleted for Tag Day, Friday, Sept. 25. A very large number of ladies have volunteered their services to do the collecting and the town has, been di- vided for a house to house canvas. Special music has been prepared. At 9 a .m the procession will leave the Town Hall where the ladies will receive their tags. ~ After making a parade of the streets as indicated in our last issue, the band, the pupils of the school and the cadets will join in the procession at the Town Hall, and march down the front street to the post-office, and the singing and speak- ing will take place on the lawn at the rear of the building. After that the ladies will begin to busy themselves by tagging everybody they meet who has not already. been decorated. 2 It should be thoroughly understood that even the smallest contributions are acceptable.
