Mrs. Richard Stacey Sr, is home from the Oshawa Hospital, and is slowly recovering from a serious illness Mr, Whiteway Grose, is recovering from an illness and expects shortly to be up and around. Mr. Delbert Lyle has built. a new hen house and says if his hens don't lay two eggs a day this winter, hell cut their heads off, If he carries this out he won' t have many hens or eggs left by spring. Mr. Norman Whitney, has just completed the frame work of Mr, Frank Drings hen house which is 12 x 50 feet: Owing to the fact that there are a number of chicken thieves around, everyone is waiting for their .next visit with a double barrel shot gun and loaded too. Miss Marie McLean is home from Toronto. _ Messrs Dring, Spencer, Ralph, Mckenzie and Grose, all lost pouty by a visit from the thieves. \ 10: Sonya Mrs. N. Dure and Miss Eva, spent a few days in Toronto last week. On Wednesday, November 4th, a meeting of the W. I. was held at the home of Mrs. R- McDonald. Hearn have moved into the vacant house on Mr. Moase's farm. Mr. George Warner and Mr. E. Gray, of Toronto, are spending a week at Pleasant Point Farm. Duck hunting and Turnip hauling occupy the attention of the folk around Fingerboard these days.
