All the 'sun has lit the room, and om earliest morning until now the who is sitting by the window, 0 busy in the heat and hurry a harvest day. - § ~The men had heen too busy to stop dealat stake in the or raat om] other women's family that it should be the, with the "divine discontent" that leads to better things; if there is any im: 'provement possible we want to know about it. And just now more than anything else, we 'want to do our. bit, in the most practical, far-reaching, , way, along patriotic lines. The secret' of it all is that we need organization, some scheme of getting together so that we can do team work. We haye no time for teas and culture clubs just "now, but we would find in a Women's ; Institute, an prganization which would afford a channel for accomplishing something, just along the two lines { which interest us most -- Home and Country. = It is very easy to fall into juts if we isolate ourselves at home. | Together we would catch the contag- ,ion of progress. It 1s impossible to "give efficient help in local needs, with jo some channel to work through. And there is no little effort wasted in trying to do Red Cross work individ- ually. We need an institute at Utica. We shall have an opportunity to or- ganize in June and we 'hope every woman in the neighborhood will begin to think about it now, and bring her views to the meeting. | TIE en | ~ Raglan The following is a list of men who have lived or worked in the vicinity of Raglan who have joined the colors. .. Would he come back-- her boy? There had never seemed tine 10 give expression to her love for her son, and for 'years the words of love had Leen forgotten. Work had been the natural outlet. Deeds had been the only evidence of affection, deeds that had brought comfort, health and happiness to the boy who was now 'Somewhere in France," working out in manly fashion the ideals of self-sacrifiee he had seen his mother practice for years.
