He is survived by two -brothers, Dincan of Seagrave, and Robert of Port Perry; a sister Mrs (Rev) J: w Tarrant, of Harbor Beach, Mich, a daughter, Mrs Samuel Baird, and a grandson Joseph R Baird. The funeral from the home of his son-in-law, Mr S Baird, was largely attended. Friends from Orillia, Cannington, Leaskdale, Saintfield and Toronto came to pay the last respects to the departed. Emmerson, daughter of Mr and Mrs John Malcolm, and wife of J Murray Emmerson, of Cart- wright, passed peacefully away to the better home on June Ist, 1917.
