The Medal was won at the battle of Lens. Sergt. Harry Abbots has also won the Military Medal. We could not learn under what circumstances this Medal was won, but Harry was a sol- dier who might be expected to give a good account of himself. Killed in Action Miss Gamble received word that her nephew, Pte. Roy C. Sweetman, son of Mrs Dan Sweetman, formerly of Scugog, now of Toronto, was killed in action on the 20th of September.
