White =~ ~ Si aa 'PORT PERRY BRANC A concert in aid of the Red" Cross Society * was given 'in Sk Andrew's s Church, Sonya, on Monday evening, April 1st. In spite of the April showers there was a very good crowd The proceeds amounted to $35.10. During the evening two 'of our jze- turned soldiers, Pte Victor Ormiston, with an address of welcome by the church and an address and 'a set of military brushes by the Red Cross Society. A Red Cross cushion was also dis- posed of by selling tickets to the amount of $40., making the total proceeds for the evening $75.10. Mr Lewis Lunney got the cushion with ticket 162. On Wednesday, April 3rd the Red Cross Society = shipped to Lady Hughes the following articles: 21 suits pyjamas, 11 pillows, 6 triangle bandages, 4 stretcher caps, 2 pair bed socks. During the month of March about 60 pairs of socks were sent overseas. The Pleasant Point Ladies' Aid have completed a number of these articles and contributed the sum of $5.
