Child Welfare Exhibit For many years scientists have been ! collecting data and social service | workers have been utging reforms on the public but as a national eco- nomical question child welfare and school nursing have not received their proper consideration. Our voters should realize their tremendous re-| sponsibility because the government can only be responsible-to its highest | ideals in so far as they will be upheld by the community. The cost of jails asylums, hospitals and other 1institut- ions add a big figure every year to the budget of the country, but the expense | is made necessary by the unproductive population. It is again the old story, of canse and effect. Already war has seriously depleted this country and it can only be by carefully rearing our children that we can grow a strong, virile nation again See the Child Welfare Exhibit in 'Whitby, April 29 and 80, under the Victorian Order of Nurses' auspices Government Tractors Starting Work It is ex by the end of this week that all of oy Farm Tractors in Ontario County will be at work.
