Joshua Ash and Robert Ash, of Montana; Mrs. Jas. Watt, of Duluth, Minn.; Wm. Ash, Sarah Ash-and Elizabeth Ash, Ottawa; Mrs. Chas. Gray, of Wakefield, Que. Mr. Ash was in business in Toronto and Sutton for some years and 41 years ago came to Port Perry with W. H. McCaw. He was a Past Noble Grand of the Oddfellows and a charter member of Warriner Lodge. He leaves one son, Mr. Wm. Ash, of Toronto. The community keenly feel the loss of a respected citizen and 'business man and extend to the relativestheir heartfelt sympathy Bowling News Four rinks of local bowlers journey to Oshawa on Wednesday bth inst to compete in the tour- ney held by the club of that town. The weather was propitious and a pleasant day's activities were enjoyed. There was a total of 22 rinks in the competition and the proceedings were a pro- nounced success. The rink skipped by E. H. Purdy was defeated in the finals of the McLaughlin Cup by a Withrow Park Rink of Toronto. This gave Purdy's rink the second prizes which were hand- some sweater coats. The score was 18-8.
