The speaker likened the British Empire to this harp of ten strings upon which the Lord should be and is being praised. The Governor-General's party in- cluded Lord Byng and his aide; Hon: Harry Cockshutt, Lieutenant Govern- or of Ontario; and Mr. W. J. Bragg, M.P. for Durham. Dr. and Mrs. Robert Archer, (Mrs. Smith is a sister of Mrs. Archer) and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Real, of Port Perry; Mrs. Jos. Forder and Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Marlow were present upon the occasion of the visit. The school children were given a J holiday by Lord Byng, so naturally he made friends among the young folk. The visit. will be remembered with great pleasure for many years to come. } Orie ". PATRIOTIC CONCERT A patriotic concert is being ar- | ranged to be presented in the Town Hall, at 8 p.m. on June 12th. A playlet will be given by about ladies, entitled "Canada's Call to the Empire."
