Mr. Hutcheson said the society he represented was jnterested in the work as also were the Boy Scouts and had the authority of Mr. Arlidge to offer their assistance in planting and he would like to see the Agricultural Society become in- terested. The Government communication communication offered to supply trees of several varieties sufficient to plant 1 to 3 acres, 1210 trees to an acre and if Port Perry would set aside a plot they would send 2 man to supervise and direct the work, all free. He thought a portion of the Fair Grounds could be used for this purpose and asked the chairman to invite an expression of views from several directors present. As all the directors were familiar' with the Government program, an interesting talk ensued in which valuable in- formation was given, particularly by Mr. Grant Christie and Mr. George Smith. It was thereupon decided to have a committee look over the ground and if it seemed to be practical, p nt the matter to the attention of the council as the town owns the grounds The cost would be very little, the wife of Russell Sonley, in her 30th year. re Urn, i PORT PERRY LAWN BOWLING CLUB ~The annual meeting of the Bowling Club was held in the Treasurer's, Office on Monday evening, March 30.
