Mr. Benson was born in Port Perry, and was the son of the late Thomas Benson, Boot and Shoe Merchant. He received his education at. the.Port Perry Public and High Schools. After leaving Port Perry he resided in the City of Buffalo, N.Y. There are still many of his old associates in Port Perry that remember him-as being a good and true friend. He is survived by one sister, Miss Nellie Benson, and four 'brothers, Thomas Benson, William P.
