Our old acquaintance, once known to us by the name Mope, we now know by what we consider a much better and more dignified name--Pine Gros- beak, We were delighted, to see a flock of them in the apple tree, not only because of old associations, but also because a visitor of the feather- ed tribe is very welcome in this win- ter time and his coming adds a bit of interest to our quiet country life.
