EE ye Pt PORT PERRY "EX-SERVICE MEN'S CLUB ORGANIZED. At a meeting of ex-service men in the Armouries, Port Perry, on Thursday last, the above Club was brought into being. An effort had been made to revive the local branch of the Grand Army of United Veterans but in view of the efforts being made to organize a Domlinion- wide Canadian Legion to include all existing Soldier Organiza- tions, the local veterans felt that an independent local club was the best means of getting Ex- Service Men together until such time-as the Club might decide to carry on as a branch of the one big Leglon which-is not yet a fact. A list of officers «of the Club will be published next week. It is the sincere wish of these Veterans who have thus banded - themselves together to have all Ex-Service men of any branch of the British Service affiliated | ---ag-members- with them. A business meeting has been : : ries, to which a hearty invitation is , extended on behalf of the Club.
