It is estimated that between 8,000 and 10,000 people swarmed the streets that were roped off for the occasion, and even overflowed into the side streets where some of the attractions were staged to allow room on the main thoroughfare. Fun, frolic and noise featured the event from begin- ning to end, and the good people of Oshawa are certainly to be 'eongratu- lated upon the splendid manner in which they supported the Rotary Club in this worthy endeavour. Even the weather man beamed his most benign smile upon the event, and dispensed the finest brand at his disposal. Of special note is the Big parade which passed all expectations. Hum dreds of floats and decorated care participated, and the procession was fifteen minutes passing a given spot. Clowns, hicks, wild animals, all added to the amusement of the crowds that lined the streets. Probably not in many years has any single event been so well thought out and carried through to such an unprecedented success as the Rotary Club bazaar of Friday even- ing last. Everything swung along with clocklike precision. The objec- tive, a real jollification on the part of everyone was easily attained, There was fun, mirth, sport, joy, and general casting aside of care. Not an incident of an untoward nature marred the whole affair, and this despite the fact that the jam was so great at times that it was diffieult to get through the. throngs, all the way. from Prince street to Albert street. Every member of the Rotary Club got behind the thing and boosted and then some. The result was, there was not a hitch in the entire proeeed- ings Every man jack of them knew what they were expected to do and then straightway went about the doing of it. r-- CLERK'S NOTICE OF FIRST POSTING OF VOTERS' LIST Voters' List 1926, Municipality of the Township of Reach, in the County of Ontario.
