J133SEssssssLt j333s2228Le To the Electors of South Ontario: September 6th, 1926 Ladies and Gentlemen: : May I address a few words to you as an appeal for a contin@ation of the confidence you reposed in me on the 29th of October, 1925, when I was elected as your representative to the House of Commons of the Dominion of Canada. 1 can do no better service in this regard than that of quoting at the outset the concluding paragraph of the address delivered in Ottawa, July 20th, by my respected leader the Right Hon. Arthur Meighen, Premier of Canada, who as be returned to power on the 14th of Sept, 1926. "Our appeal now to the people of Canada can be put in a few words, and with these words I close. We ask them to study the policy embodied in the resolution by which the Conservative party stands, moved in the House of Commons on the 2nd day of June, 1925. We believe the great| articles of policy there laid down are sound for this Dominion, and when given effect will make for unity; prosperity and expansion. - We lay before them the administrative record of the late Government as revedled by the files of its own committee and from the mouths of its own witnesses, and we ask you to condemn with your votes inefficiency and gross infidelity to public trust. We appeal to our fellow-citizens in every section of this country, of every class and occupation, to rise to the height of true Can- adians and think in terms of the whole country, and to call for the sane, consistent application of the only principle of fiscal policy by which this Dominion can live--hold its children, gather its immigrants and grow to a great nation. farmers, everybody, in sympathetic and practical co-operation to press forward the great movement through ei the basic industrialists of our country, the producers from our soil, will at least come into their own. It-would, on-my part; look like an endeavor to "paint the Lily" if T were to attempt to improve upon this expression of sound Canadianism, and this exposition of the policy of the Conservative Party. I merely desire to say that in every sentiment expressed therein I cordially agree and ask the electors of .this Riding to judge me accordingly. The bewildering conduct of the Right Hon. Mackenzie King during the recent session of Parliament and his speeches upon the hustings during this campaign have created within my mind a feeling of uneasiness, inexpressible and profound, that he is toying with every force in Canada that desires to weaken the few remaining ties that bind us to the British Empire, It is needless to say that I deplore this attitude wherever found and pledge myself to combat those forces by all the powers I possess whenever and wherever I may encounter this dangerous influence. -- Clean Government, a Protective Policy, an energetic people and an abid- ing faith in the future of Canada as an integral part of the British Empire; i all the requi ts ry to lead us unitedly towards our inevitable destiny. : Having served this Riding for one short Parliament, I appeal4o you for a renewal of your confidence, in order that I may continue my efforts for our Country, our Cause, and our Constituency. 4 Yours respectively, T. E. KAISER. S 22," 163-167 YONGE ST., TORONTO It's Important to Cut Silage at the Right Time If silage is cut too green--or after whe frost has taken hold of it--it won't make nearly as good or profitable feed- ing as if cut at just the right time. 1 : That's where one of my "Toronto" Ensilage Cutters proves its worth. Makes you independent of a hired outfit--en- ables you to cut at the right time. Enables you to refill after shrinkage, too--a feature which helps pay for the Cutter in a short while. And it will cut your straw in the winter. A small gasoline engine will operate this efficient Cutter. Let me demon- strate its quality features to you or ask me for free <_ Literature, ' Pt.
