Peters, Port Perry, to celebrate Christmas day. Among those present were their daughters Edith, of Cooper's Falls, Mr, and Mrs. Elwood Carruthers and children, of Glen Major, and Mr. and Mrs. George Beverley, and daughters of Claremont. A pleasing surprise came to them on Christmas night in the form of a telephone call from their son Burt and wife of Atlanta, Georgia, some 1100 miles away, wishing them a Merry Christmas. On account of living so far away, Burt and his fam- ily could not get home and talking to them over the telephone made it seem as if they were here with us. Phone 152 REPORT OF 8.8.
