The weekly community gathering was held in Mr, Cook's Hall, on Friday night, when_the usual good time and} social evening was spent in games and | music after which refreshments were served and the gathering broke up eager to meet again. Owing to the entertainment at the church on Wed- nesday of this week, the gathering 1s 'cancelled until next Friday night. The winners in the progressive euchre were: Elmer Cook, while the consolation prizes fell to Mrs. Earle Cook and Mr, Lorne Johnston. In the Lost Heir, Mrs. Pilkey won first and Mrs. D. Leury, won the consolation. A number from here attended the : Dryden-Miller sale.at the Union Stock Yards in Troonto last week and report a splendid sale.
