Mr. Edmett was a former resident of Port Perry many years ago, and was associated ' with the late Joshua Wright, Jos. Bigelow, and Henry Gordon. Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Houck and family of Rochester, N. Y., were in town of Friday last, looking up some of his old acquaintances. They motored, coming by way-of Niagara. Mrs, J. Cassidy, of Toronto, and Mrs, State, (formerly Miss Teresa Cassidy) of Montreal, are spending a few weeks in town. Mr. Sager, of Madoc, has bought the Williams property in Prince Albert, and will live there. Mrs. Sager will be better known to our people: she was formerly Miss Mary Asling. We welcome Mr. and Mrs. Sager to our community: The sale of this property was ef- fected by Mr. Morley Campbell. Major and Mrs. Maitland, of Win- nipeg, are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Both teacher and pupils are all keyed up and anxious to be at their desks again.
