Institute Held Re- ception for Miss Mabel R. McMillan. The reception given by the Lindsay Women's Institute for Miss Mabel R. McMillan, the new public health nurse, was a success in every way. Some 300 people grasped this . opportunity to meet Miss McMillan and practically | every club and organization was re- presented. The hall was decorated with the Institute colors, blue and gold. Assisting Miss: McMillan to receive convenor of the child welfare com- mittee. In the afternoon tea was poured by Mrs, Lou MacGregor and Mrs. W. A. Scott and was served by Mrs. Golden and Mrs. C. Beadle. On the centre of of their table they had a beautiful bouquet of spring flowers. In the evening Mrs. F. H. Dunk and Mrs, S. Higgs poured tea and Mrs. Dickerson and Mrs, Webb served it. Music was given in the afternoon and evening by Mrs, W, A. Scott, Miss Edythe Holmes; Miss Sluggitt and Mr. Reg. Howe. Miss MeMillan expressed her thanks to the Women's Institute for according her the opportunity of meeting the people of Lindsay in such a pleasant way and thought that it would asisst her a great deal in her work here.
