Jean McDermott read Miss Florence Walker's poem on Empire Day. airmen YO ems HIGH SCHOOL MAKES PROMIS- ING SHOWING IN COBOURG TRACK MEET For the first time in several years Port Perry High School sent a track team to the Interscholastic Spring Track Meet which was held at Victoria Park, Cobourg, last Saturday. While they can hardly be said to have car- ried off all the honours still the local boys performed very credibly and made a showing which augurs well for the future. , The weather was excellent' for an affair of this kind and there was a large entry in all the events.
