For the last ten years his health has been gradually failing and early Thursday morning passed away quite suddenly. He leaves to mourn his loss his sor- rowing wife and daughter Luella at home, and one son Howard Leslie, in San Francisco, Caifornia, and one grandson. The deceased had three brothers and one sister. The Ontario Government again of- fers a four-day trip to the Royal Winter Fair to ten young men under 'twenty-one in each County, the win- ners of this: trip to be decided by means of a County Live Stock and Crops Judging Competition to be held November 1st. The boys will be required to judge classes of Heavy Horses, Beef Cattle, Dairy Cattle, Sheep, Swine, Poultry, Oats, Barley, Alsike, Potatoes and Turnips. Boys who have won this trip in previous years are not eligible to win 'it again although they may com- pete for the cash and other prizes offered in the County Judging Com-] petition.
