Tor- diff, spent last Monday on Toronto. _A number from this locality attend- ed the "At Home" in Brooklin, last Friday evening, which was given by the Oddfellows. Mr. McGee is still in Oshawa and is under the doctor's care. Hopes are expressed that he will soon be able to return home. Johnston Bros. are busy cutting ice at Mud Lake, and farmers are getting their summer supply of ice in. MANCHESTER Mrs. W. J. Mitchell spent the week end in Toronto. Mrs. Day, of Port Very, called on friends in the village recently. Mr. and Mrs. Orma Gerrow and daughter called on his brother, Mr. C. Gerrow, on Sunday. Mr. Ferrier, of Uxbridge, was in the village, on Sunday. Mr. John Moore has started making his calls as assessor. Be sure to have your dog home so John can tag them. The Club will meet in the hall on Thursday night. We look for a good attendance. Sorry to report Ben Kay is going to leave our community. He is going back to England on March 4th. Ben will be missed in Manchester. Mr. Chas. Lamb is busy cutting wood with his buzz saw. Sorry to report Mr. Thos. Barrett under the doctor's care. What 'might have been a very ser- ious accident, occurred, when two cars skidded on the slippery road on Sunday, and turned completely over. The parties in the cars got out with only a bad shaking up. Mrs. Bryant is visiting her niece Mrs. Wilmot Walker. PRINCE ALBERT. Mr. R. Wiles, of Myrtle, who has been visiting his daughter Mrs. R. Heayn, has returned home. Mr. Frank Pettitt, Scugog, visited his cousin, Mr. Stanley Hope, on Wednesday last. Mr. and Mrs. Seaton from the West are guests of their cousins Mr. and Mrs. McCrae, Mrs. M. White, of Toronto, former- ly of this village, was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Hunter, last week. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Heayn, and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Raymes and Miss Stella, all of Scugog Island, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Heayn, last Wednesday. Week end visitors were: Mr. and Mrs. Searle, of Columbus, with Mrs. Sellers and Mrs. Smith, and Mr. Robt. Young, of Toronto, with Mrs. Young and Isabel. The Women's Association held its monthly meeting for February at the home of Mrs. Philp. Prince Albert is well supplied with radios of various makes. The latest additions are Mrs. M. Bates, a Majestic, Mrs. Woodley, a Majestic, Mrs. Bickel, a King, Mr. Swift, a Murphy, and Mr. Dobson, a Sonora. This village certainly has a large number of excellent hockey players. Some ten days ago the boys' team played Scugog at the Port Perry rink the score being 2-1 in favour of Scugog. At the second game, three or four larger players were put on in place of the small boys, the score then being 8-1 in favour of Prince Albert.
