If I could talk for just five min- utes to every driver of a motor car I don't believe there would ever be another railway crossing accident. There is the education where you get your knowledge and the education which is equally important, of friction with other human beings and that you cannot get as long as you sit by your- self in your lodgings. You only get it through rubbing your brains with those of other people. You get the corners knocked off, you learn tolera- tion and you emerge an infinitely bet- ter fellow, able to get at work at once among your fellow men. Work will be infinitely better done if you have gone through the process of friction and massage with other human minds and men. --Rt. Hon. Stanley Baldwin. A man was told by his doctor that if he laughed for fifteen minutes every day before meals his condition would improve, One day in a restaurant, while having his laugh, a man at the oppo- site side of the table walked over and said angrily, "What are you laugh- ing at?" ? % wa "Why I'm laughing for my liver,' he replied. Br ; "Well, then," said the other, "I guess I'd better start laughing, too. - I ordered mine a half an hour ago."
