Ruddy, Esq., Clerk, County of Ontario, Dear Sir: It has come to my knowledge that there is complaint from certain people in Ontario County in-regard to the payment by the County of my Hos- pital expenses during my recent ill- ness, while in attendance at the Jan- uary Session of County Council. 1 appreciated at the time the kindly intention of my fellow Councillors and I regret very much that their action has "been subjected to any public eriticism. To prevent any further annoyance to these gentlemen I am paying over to the Treasurer of the County, Two Hundred and Eighty-nine and 26/100 Dollars ($289.25) to cover the full amount paid out by the County on my account.
