Outstanding goaltending ugog Citizen -- Tuesday, October 1, 1991 - 17 1 in mens' hockey league Week three in the Scugog Mens Hockey League featured some outstanding goal-tending as all four games were decided by margins of two goals or less In game one Sunday morning at the Scugog Arena, Compton Cable nipped Van and Truck World 4-3 in a battle that see- sawed back and forth Rick Hope led Compton with two goals, with Bill Van Camp getting a'goal and assist and Larry Page clicking for the final goal. Adding assists were Bob Beveridge and Jim Duncan with Two cach, Russ Connelly and Ed Olsen with one Countering for Van and Truck werd Larry Pilkey, Brian Samis and Tony Oxley. Dave Jackson helped the cause with a pair of ASSISLS Tight checking was the order of the day in game two as Norton's Home Improvements blanked Fuzgerald's Weed Control 2-0 Finding the mark for Norton's was Randy Prosser from Dave Dickson and Brad Hurst, then it was Hurst from Dickson for the second tally. Ray Gibson was full measure for his shut-out as he had just a super game between the pipes for Norton's. Sportsland finally got into the win column with its victory of the season by doubling up Anderson's 4-2 ' Tallying for Sportsland were I'm Ashbridge with a pair; Dave Bourgeois and Brian Callery each with a goal and an assist. Counting for Crandell's was John Kortaba from Donovan Smith and Ken Jeffrey from Roger Moase and Rick Olaisen.
