Mr. Gadsden, 56, has lived on' Fralick's Beach Road since 1988. He retired as a section manager after 31 years with Bell, and now works as.an independent tonsul- tant in areas of safety and super- vision, For the past three years he has been a members of Scugog's committee of adjustment, and from 1986-88 was on Durham Region's Land Division Committee. 1 He worked actively on politi- cal campaigns at the municipal, provincial and federal levels in Pickering where he lived for 30 - years before moving to Scugog. But this will be his first attempt at elected office. Mr. Gadsden and his wife Margo have three grown chil- dren. There are now three candi- dates in the race for the seat in Ward 3 that is being vacated after this term by incumbent Al Goreski.
