The brothers say that most shops have only a minimal interest in trading and when they do, the allow "wholesale prices" for the cards they get and charge "retail" prices for the cards they give, While they agree that shops must do this to stay in business, the brothers want their swap 10 be for "collectors, not dealers." They heard similar beefs from other young collectors, and decid- ed it was time to do something about it. They have rented the Old Town Hall in Blackstock, will set up tables for the traders and are hop- ing that young people from all over will drop in to swap or just have a look. Admission is $2 to the swap and adults will only be admitted if they accompany a card-swapping youngster. The line clicked again in the first as Wylic found the range with assists to his linemates. Port opened things. up consid- 'erably in the second with four goals as Steve Desautels counted two and singles came from Lou Whitfield and Jason Coutalakis." Wilson picked up two assists as did Chad Garvock, Desautels, Coutalakis and Scott Airey with one each. Late in the game, Wilson fired his second with help from Whitfield and Airey. Mike Tripp turned in a fine game between the pipes and he was getting lots of help out there from the blue line crew of Noah St. Amond, Mike Sluggett, Blair Pretchitko, Mark Cosway and Lindsay Parry. But Corey Wilson went down with a leg injury in the third peri- od and the team wishes him a quick recovery and return to the lineup. Two days later, the team was in action again with Fenelon Falls providing the opposition. After a scoreless first period, the Tiremen got their act together in the second with three goals by Andy Wilson, Mike Williams and Lou Whitfield. Parry, Airey, Cosway, Whitfield and Williams helped set up these markers. But with a.3-1 lead in the third, the guys threw thoughts of check- ing out the window and the Falls roared back to tic the game 3-3. And that's how it ended, hardly a classic. Todd Smart from Desautels and Coutalakis, followed quickly by Scott Airey un-assisted gave the boys a 2-0 lead. Cosway rifled a hard shot from the point to score on a power play for a 3-0 lead. Haliburton managed to make it 3-2 but Port came home with the two points and were full marks for them. Nice work in the nets by Tripp and Rick Hutchinson. Legion Pee Wees The Port Perry Legion Pee Wee A's played host to Lindsay last Friday evening and suffered their first loss of the regular schedule. The boys just seemed to come out a bit "flat" for this one as passes failed to click, the shooting was less than accurate, and the penalty killers had more than their fair share of work, especially in the third period when tempers flared. The visitors were never in serious trouble in this one as they had leads of 3-2 after the first and 6-3 after the second. They went on 10 post a 7-4 win over the Legion erew. Mart Phillips, Kevin Hobbs, Daryl McEnaney and Tim Fitzpatrick lit the red light for Legion with Tom Chambers getting two assists and singles to Todd Parry, Rob Murphy and Fitzpatrick. wi By a aad
