MARILYN TRIPP KEN GADSDEN CLIFF DAVIS Councillor - Ward 3 - Scugog Island First I would like to tell you a little about myself. My family home was at the Head on Scugog Island. I received my public school education on the Island in a one room school. I am a graduate of the Port Perry High School. Norm and I were married at the Head United Church which is now part of thé Museum on the Island. We have two children, Jackie and Richie, both at home. Straight out of high school ] entered the legal field with. Harris, Harris & Wallace, Port Perry. In 19734 was employed by Kelly, Jermyn - now the firm oi Fowler; Davies in Port Perry. 1 am still with them as office manager. I am also a law clerk. My years in the legal field have taught me to keep an open * mind (whether you like the situation or not), listen to all ssides, review all the facts and then, and only then, come to a decision. I'believe this is the only approach a councillor carf take if he or she is going to be a responsible representative of the people and their, wishes. I believe the fact that I have lived and worked my entire life in the Township of Scugog gives me an insight into what the people of this community want. 1 believe this fact, combined with an open mind on all matters is the best ination for a rep ive of the people of Scugog Island.
