Scugog Mayor Howard Hall and Regional rep Yvonne Christie were among the more frugal members of Durham council when it came to spending on conferences, con- ventions and meetings last year. Figures released by the Region's finance department last week show Mayor Hall spent $197 on conferences, while councillor Christie spent Thbugh they are entitled to do o neither Scugog reps collected any money from the Region for meeting expenses to cover such things as mileage and meals.
