Peter Lane, Ron Zaparanuik, Rick Shechey and Wayne Taylor did the scoring damage for Andersons. Darcy Milligan helped out with a pair of assists with one each to Lane, John Delorme, Glen Hudson, Doug Suppelsa and Sean Fewer. Paul Van Camp netted a pair for Fitz and chipped in with an assist as well. Other goal scorers were Henry Foflerer and Bart Wager. Doug Bronson was in on two goals with Bill Owen, Robert Evans and Mark Pehleman getting credit for one assist each. In a tough, hard-fought third game, Crandells was a bit of a surprise winner as they cut the cables on Compton TV by a nar- row 2-1 margin. Richie Lefort from John Robertson and Rob Kroonenberg from Chris Brain did the scoring for the winners. Compton's goal came from the stick of Jim Duncan with help from Dave Harrison and Bill Van Camp. Sportsiand and J and D Carpentry got embroiled in a real bam burner that was typical play- off hockey from start to finish. When the smoke had cleared and the ice cooled down, the teams found themselves in a 1-1 deadlock. Mike McQuade snapped in the lone goal for Sportsiand with help from Ken Little and Bill Bridge. Brian Cowie replied for J and D with Joe Curran and Todd Wilbur setting him up on the play. Action resumes again this coming Sunday morning at 8:00 AM with four games on tap. Mike Lefort continued his scoring ways in this game lead- ing his mates to a 5-1 victory over a squad from Morris County, New Jersey. Lefort col- lected a nifty hat trick in this one, with linemates Wygerde and Dean Van Camp getting assists. Braden Tarbotton (unassisted) and Mark Blakely from Skerratt and Moynes rounded out the scoring. Lefort was again named MVP in this one and special mention to Braden who battled the flu to make this early morning game. Port's luck ran out that after- noon as the boys hooked up against a team from Ingersoll, Ont. They challenged through the first period and were rewarded by a goal from Van p with Wygerde and Lefort getting the assists. But the powerful Ingersoll team kept putting the pressure on and was just a bit too strong in the final periods. The final score was 7-3 in favour of Ingersoll with Port's last two goals by Skerratt from Moynes and Billy Carr; and Blakely from Whitworth who was named MVP for the game.
