It is a simple yet powerful statement, one that sums up Michelle's personal feelings as well. Michelle, who was raised in Port Perry and has worked in sales and marketing in Toronto for the last seven years, came up with the Spirit of Peace symbol last fall. And she, has since formed her own company, Unity Concepts Inc., to market the pins, brooches and cuff links. She was able to present Prime Minister Brian Mulroney and wife Mila with pins when they visited Toronto recently. The Prime Minister liked the idea behind the pin, Michelle ld the Citizen last week. And she is now working to set up contacts through the United Nations and Olympics for licenc- ing rights. Her goal is to have Spirit of Peace recognized internationally wherever one is worn. "I think it (the pin) is a way of helping people look at them- selves. We are all equal in this world. We need some healing in the world and before that can happen, we have to look at our- selves first," she explained.
