Fhe meeting held at Port Perry's Town Hall 1873 was orga- nized by PEST/Zero Garbage, the two citizens groups that are fight- Please see REGION, page 3 Young Cannington woman dies in head on crash Durham Regional Police are continuing to investigate a two vehicle accident near Scagrave that claimed the life of an 18 year-old Brock Township woman Police said Angela Kennedy of RR 2, Cannington was killed in'the accident that took place July 15 just before 9:00 AM on Durham Road 2, just north of Scugog Line 14. She was driving a Ford Ranger truck that collided with a northbound Camaro dnven by 23 year old David Jenkins of RR 2, Liule Britain He was taken td Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto with serous imunes. Police say both drivers were alone in their vehicles. An investigation into the accident continues. Police are also investigating another fatal accident that took the life a 21 year old Beaverton woman.
