F.A. Slinger Transport had a tough season, but finished with their best game ever, managing to tie Technique Drywall, 3-3. The team would like to thank Slinger Transport for their sponsorship, allowing Chris, Richard, Jake and Emily, and all of the other members of the team to enjoy a season of fun and growth through the wonderful game of soccer. Technique Drywall had a solid season, thanks to a superb team effort. Their players showed courage and determination thréughout. Manvers 1 enjoyed success in their last outing against Framers Gallery. Joel Ward scored all 4 goals for Manvyers, Ben Hajnik provided good goaltendingy- and Ashley Gilbank finished her season with some fine playing. Matthew Roth scored the lone marker for Framers, and both Kylie Goodwin and Patrick Dunn put forth an excellent effort. Manvers 2 and Re/Max Realty had to settle for a scoreless draw in their match, despite constant pressure from Daniel Bois and Christina Reader, and several near misses by Steward Medford. Subby's Submarine went out with a blast in their match against Lake Scugog Lumber. Tyler Cunningham had reason to celebrate with 4 goals to his credit, and Danny Halward scored twice. Cameron O'Connor had a lot of chances and Robert Mark made some nice saves in net. Nuts About Chocolate finished their season with a win against Fowler, Davies, with Tim Cruickshank scoring twice. Honourable mention goes to Eric Drebit, Alexandra Moffat .and Matthew. Whalen for Nuts, and Tyler Oakley, Dnaiel Shore and Brent Wagg for Fowler, Davies. The Scugog Youth Soccer Club thanks the many volunteer coaches who helped introduce our youngest players to their first soccer skills. We hope everyone had a terrific season! Well, another season of squirt soccer has come and gone. Hopefully all of the children had some fun, and learned a little sportsmanship along the way. Thanks to all of the coaches who volunteered generous sponso! The Port Perry Auto Glass Stingrays finished up their season with another win Brian's Pither, Lansdell all scored Jennifer Vandermue ro great passing ability and a to the teams Trevor Rebecca, 0, Sandy. Brandon, Erin G. and Christopher! Lance, continued to give an all out effort for Brian's Towing. James, Shannon, Jessie, Wesley, Christine, Billy, Tyler, Adam, and Christopher also came out effort. Colton Photography was close on the heels of the Stingrays, to finish in second spot. They also ended the season with success against [.G.A.. Nicholas Byers and Jonathan Dufoe each had a hat-trick (plus one for Nicholas); Stacey Cunningham and James Colton each scored twice, and Julie-Ann Domik picked up an assist. The coaches of the 1.G.A. team want to use this pace to congratulate each of their team's players for putting in a strong effort all season. The players contributed to the fun of each game and were each able to improve their individual skills and abilities. Congratulations to Shawn, Steve, Leanne, Boston, Matthew, Erin E., FORTE REET. Bri Palleske, Kalin Moon and Matt Coxon played an excellent game for Flielers. The Lions Club fell to Manvers 1, thanks to three goals by Stephen Stiner and two by Brett McGill. A good game was played by Whitney Ried for the Lions Club, and some good defense executed by Holly Allison. Ryan Hutchins put in a solid effort. Haugen's Chicken Barbecue nipped Trader Sams in an exciting match, 5-2. Matthew Sutherland and Lindsay Carr each scored two goals, and Alex MacKay scored as well. Alex Nicolau contributed with several players showing scoring ability and great defensive skills. Brian's Towing and Flielers Petro Canada may have been the most evenly matched ~ teams this year. They met in the first game in the B division on cup day, ending in a 6-5 tie. They ended up in Shoe 985 the final match again facing each other, and had to resort to over-time play to break the draw. Brian's Towing came out en top, but Flielers were never out of the game! We look forward with anticipation to next years season, and we can only hope it feels a little more like summer!
