Now that the slo-pitch season is officially over, no doubt the play on the ice will heat up during October. Game one Sunday morning featured the Pineridge Phantoms and Van World Sharks with the Phantoms winning it 9-6. Singles went to Todd Wilbur, Bill Bridge, and Bill Wiesflock. Assists went to Milton with four, Bourgeois, three; Wilbur and Bache two each.and singles to Bridge, Olaisen and Bob Lee. On the other side, Wayne Fox had four Shark assists; Mike Adam 3; Durward 2, singles to Beyeridge and Brownson to round out this mammoth scoring feat. Larry Jackson had a had a goal with Ritchie LeFort getting two assists to bring the Clippers close to silencing the critics, Game three was another goalie's nightmare as the Harrison Blazers won the Fuel Battle with the Taylor Aces. The heat was on as Doug Suppelsa, John Kotggba and Gary Lance cashed in hat tricks for the Blazers. In the assist department, Edwards had four, Sheehey three, Suppelsa and Paul Van Camp two each and singles to Lance, Kotarba and Thomson. For the Aces, it was McIntyre from Page and Pilkey and another by Wagar and Pilkey. But that was it. No doubt as these teams meet later this season, all eyes will be on the "Fuel-Oil Victors." The final match of the morning proved to be the most exciting as the Compton Comets tried to VAN HEMMEN TIRES & SALES 317 HOPKINS STREET, WHITBY 666-2121 NEW ... NEW .. NEW .. NEW ..
