The Bantam #1 team skated and shot their way to a 7 to 1 victory over Uxbridge. Persistence around the net, good team work and only six penalty minites for the whole game paid off. (Surprising what happens when five players are on the ice!) Scoring for Port in this game was Jay King with 2 goals and 2 assists, Jeremy Geer 2 goals, lan Shrigley 2 goals and Craig Laird with 1 goal and 1 assist. IGA Juniors start new season The IGA Junior B team started a new year of competition October 23. Coach Tom Patton, Assistant Coach Debbie Storms and Manager Nancy Coyne iced a team against Ajax at the Pickering Village Arena. A valiant effort was displayed by each member of the team but after two periods of play the final, score was Ajax 4, Port Perry 2. Had it not been for the excellent play of Melissa Pereman, our goal tender, the goal spread would have been greater. Offensively, Sarah Coyne had 2 goals and Kelly Brooks had an assist.
