Mike Tripp was in the cage for the shut-out as the Eagles blanked Huntsville 4-0 in the consolation final. Steve Desautels fired a hat trick to pace the Eagles in this one with the other marker coming in the first period by Ryan Ridgway. Brad MacArthur helped set up three of the Eagle goals. In the championship game, Port Elgin Kinsmen showed why they are among the top Midget clubs anywhere this year as they defeated Cobourg 5-3; Port Elgin has suffered only one loss to date this season. goaltending from Rick Hutchinson who. recorded the shut-out in a 2-0 victory. Jeff Card was set up for the first goal on an assist from Scott Heasman, and MacArthur from Sean Ellis and Duane Empringham provided the insurance marker late in the third period. Eagles found themselves on the consolation side in this tournament by virtue of a tough 4-3 overtime loss to Parry Sound in the opener Saturday mortfing.
