Aces bring the Comets out of orbit This week's action in the SHL saw absences of 2 key players due to injury. Hopefully Don Card of the Comets and Bill VanCamp of tHe Hawks will be, back to play soon. Game 1 was ap exciting game as the Aces opéned up a four al lead befor§ the Compton omets got into orbit. Ace scorers were Warner-2, Little, Wager, and Thoppson with 1 each. Assisting} were Little, Robertson, ani Dwayne Bronson with 2 éach and singles to Warner and "Regional Reg" tyre. The score ended Aces 5, Comets 3. The play of the'game for the fans was the empty net shot by Ace sponsor Wayne Taylor that decided to bounce off & goal post. Keep practicing your shot "Ace!" Game 2 saw the Harrison Blazermtrying to "fuel" their way out-of the basement against the Crandell's Peter Lane. The Gamblers were led by Brian Samis in his new "designer pants." "Pierre Cardin" would be proud of * Sammy as he tallied a goal and an assist. Also with one of each was Dale Bronson. Rob Evans scored the winner and Bryan Norton, after a "recent birthday" notched the final assist. Game 3 saw the "prediction of the century" come true as the Fitzgerald Clippers reeled in the Van and Truck World Sharks 3-0. Using a new line up as bait, the Clippers lead by strong goaltending from Ken Harman silenced those "Killer Sharks." "Gracie, Lefort and an empty net tally by Lee Wilbur did "the damage. A single assist by Stephenson and two from steady. Kelly Lee iced the victory. for the "Weed Men." «Be sure to take in next week's Clipper game aa they try to get a December victory early! Game 4 proved to bé the one \, that everyone has been walting for as the Round 1 leading J&D Hawks tried to upset the current league leading Pineridge Phantoms. However Gamblers but the Crandell's "those elusive Phantoms would gang skated to a 3-2 victory to put out the fire. Blazers took the early lead on goals by Suppelsa and Davidson. Assists went to Paul VanCamp, Davis and not be unseated as they skated to a 3-1 decision even without the services of Lee"Bad Boy" , Steeves. | Phantom scorers were Milton, Bourgeois | and Bridge. All the scores fit to print -- and some that aren't so fit. Assisting were Bourgeois and Bridge with 2 each along with Todd Wilbur and Burger having singles. The Hawks only reply was a blast from Cowie assisted by Chris Brian. Sideline cheerleaders Bill VanCamp and Dennis Lycett tried their best for the Hawks but to no avail. Some say that those phantoms are going to tear up the league but other teams will surely disagree!
