MoJacks got the equalizer late in the second frame when Jarrett Harman was set up in the deep slot by Jeff Barr and he was given enough time to - tee it up for the big slap shot. And Barr was the guy who gave MoJacks a 3-2 lead at 2:18 of the third. Bruin Jamie Showers fed Barr a perfect pass and he took full advantage of the miscue with a shot to the corner. But the Bruins Jason Underwood knotted the match at 3-3 with a hard shot that Ian Cooper partially stopped. That set the stage for the overtime period and Shannon Todd's dramatic winner. After the game, coach Ken Harman was more than pleased with the effort in back to back games. He praised lan Cooper for his work in the net, especially late in the contest when the Bruins were pressing hard. ModJacks did it the old fashioned way with hard work, good defense and solid netminding from former Eagle Ian Cooper who always plays well against his old team. Jody Logan and Shannon Todd staked the MoJacks to a 2-0 first period with Jarrett Harman, Todd Byers and Brad Mizener getting the assists. The team continued the same style through the second period and it paid off with two more goals less than a minute apart at the mid-point. Byers drilled one from the left point on the power play with assists from Steve Laird and Greg Davidson, and then with the teams at even strength, Gavin Cochrane got hig first of the campaign as he slapped one past Drew Campbell from 25 feet out. Jeff Barr and Jan Heyes set up the goal. The third period was less than a minute old when Jim Vernon fired his 21st of the season on a set-up from Todd. That was Vernon's 43rd point of the campaign and he is played superb two way hockey for the MoJacks, He hasn't lost that nasty streak either, when it comes to putting the shoulder into some opposition player skating along with his head down. Late in the game, Vernon doffed his gloves and helmet to hall Chad Ar ng at centre ice, but the officials kept them apart. They got game misconducts for their efforts with Armstrong getting a five minute major for spearing Jarrett Harman on a face-off. Eagles got a couple back with Hutchings and Jaramir Page doing the damage to make it 5- 2. But the MoJacks were not going to let this one get away as Jan Heyes gave them a four- goal bulge at 7:46 with help from Harman. Heyes then got into a scrap with Gary Adams and was nailed as the "aggressor." That will cost him a four game suspension. This was a chippy game in aces, and the MoJacks had to ill several penalties. The penalty killing units are getting all kinds of practise as the MoJacks are the most penalized team in the Central League so far this season.
