Scugog Citizen -- Tuesday, J 719, 1993--3 4a "Sandy! missing since January 8th Anyone who has ever owned and loved a dog will know the pain Ann Sanderson is feeling these days. Her dog Sandy, a pure bred Yellow Lab has been missing since January 8 and Ms. Sanderson has been spending 12-hour days looking for him ever since. He was last seen about 12:30 in the afternoon on January 8 with another dog, Sheba. The two of them were on the ice of Lake Scugog off Honey's Beach, walkig towards Scugog Island. Ann has placed ads in newspapers from Lindsay to Oshawa, posted photos of Sandy in stores and coffee shops in es that somebody . "We h phone calls fro ple who think they have seen him," Ann said on Monday. One caller from the Island said he had seen both dogs. Many of Ann's friends are helping out with the search for Sandy. "A lot of good people are out there looking for him," she said. Sandy turped two on January 19. He's VelloWin colour and was wearing an orange collar when he went missing. Ann said this is the first time he ever strayed away from the yard. She is hoping that somebody is sheltering the dogs because of the cold weather.
