(See sto Taylor. George is a professional guitar maker living in Scugog Township and a devoted James Taylor fan. | FORDER - PARKS Taylor likes the guitar, sent George the money He managed to contact Taylor by phone, told him of his plans and on September 1, George arrived back-stage at Kingswood to present Taylor with three hand-made guitars as a gift. Taylor was pleased, agreed to accept one and said he would "give it a try" and if he liked it, he would pay George for the instrument. Getting paid for his work didn't matter to George. He was just delighted that his favourite singer would be strumming on the small Parlour guitar he built in the workshop at his home near Greenbank. Then, about three weeks ago, Taylor phoned George to say he is keeping the guitar but wants to pay him for it. "He (Taylor) insisted that I get paid; 4 George told the tizen last week. When Taylor sked how much he wanted George paused for a moment and said $1500. Two weeks later, the cheque for exactly that amount in US funds with Taylor's signature on it arrived in George' 8 mailbox. George is thrilled, just delighted with this turn of events. The guitar was meant as a gift for Taylor, George's way of thanking him for so much great musit over the years. _¥he fact that Taylor found "he guitar to his liking was FRIDAY, MARCH Sth ary 16 Soo INSURANCE BROKERS INC. reward enough.
