Marj Tripp was all smiles last week when she presented a cheque for $4200 to Tina Demmers, director = of rehabilitation services at Community Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Tripp is president of Hospital Womens Auxiliary and chairman of the Auxiliary's Tag Days held a week earlier. That $4200 was raised by the Auxiliary's Tag Days and it will be used to purchase a new ultra sound unit for the rehabilitation department. Mrs. Tripp said she was most pleased with the success of the Tag Day and expressed her sincere thanks to the people of Scugog Township for their generous support. Some 43 volunteers worked on Tag Day and the $4200 was the most ever raised from this campaign. The previous high had been $2800, said Mrs. Tripp. Mrs. Demmers said the department will be ordering. the new ultra sound unit immediat&ly. It's a piece of equipment used to aid healing of soft tissue and help reduce joint swelling. She said this is a fine example of how community support for fund raising campaigns, is put to good use by the hospital.
