Cornish School. twelve years ago and are soon to graduate with a bi- lingual certificate. Being together all these years, the students have built quite I bond and friendship with each other. Nicole Montpetit moved to Pickering . right after Christmas. But has bee driving to school every i since moving as she want. graduate with her classmétes she's been with since Grade One. Nicole has no regrets being in the French immersion progwem and will likely put her kids in a program like it. She says, "it would Nave been a waste to drop out." Tim Wilbur and Chris Robinson both transferred into the French immersion program in the seventh grade. Emily Smith likes the program too, and feels shel continue with her French studies at university. Emily would like to get into either politics or translation and French is the ideal equal language in Canada. Sarah Hobbs recommends the French immersion program has enjoyed it immensely. Jotally bilingual now, she feels / French immersion offers so many more job opportunities. And they got to go on many trips to Quebec, Ottawa and France. Garett Hazelwood has found the program to be a good thing and very useful. His sister's boyfriend is fluent in German and never has a problem getting job. Garret is confident the ~ French language will be an advantage to him too someday as he wants to take the Agricultural Business course at the University of Guelph.
