Oshawa Fair coming up The South Ontario Agricultural Society is proud to present the 16th annual Oshawa Whitby Fair. The fair is approximately 130 years old from it's inception and moved from Whitby in 1921 to Alexandra Park in Oshawa where it enjoyed much success until 1974. The Exhibition then moved to its present location on Garrard Rd. Just North of Conlin. It is now appropri- ately called the Oshawa Whitby Fair, July 22-25. Thursday evening brings us our ever popular Demolition Derby and Friday night sees the opening of Junior, Domestic and Horticultural Exhibits and of course the Gigantic Truck Pull, run so well by Archie Johnston. Saturday features the Saddle and Heavy Horse Shows also the Horse Pull at 5pm. We will be bringing you new this year a Laser Karaoke night with Mike Preston, so be sure to bring a friend and rock to the laser videos, you can be the STAR! Jack Heib the car show manager can always be counted on for a super presentation. Don't Forget the Pet Contest 'and Show at 1 p.m., bring then all, pigs, cats dogs, «chickens etc. Just make sure they are on a leash. This event is a treat to watch. The sheep and Light Horse shows will be going on a swell for those who are interested.
