Lots of improvement by Under 6 players The under 6 crew has been really playing some competitive soccer in the last few weeks with much improved play from the beginning of the year. Here are the latest results from the soccer pitches of Port Perry. The Royal Canadian Legion team has been a real force to reckon with all season long with 3 victories in their last 3 outings. Their first match against the J&D Carpentry team was a 5-1 victory. Goal scorers for the team were Brittini Smith with 4 and Irene with 1. A strong game was played by Hunter in this one. In their second contest they came up big against the efforts of the Re/Max team by scoring 2 unanswered goals.' Russel Tracy and Michael Armstrong popped them in with Irene Watson and Troy Wagg playing strong games. In their latest game they won by a score of 1-0 over the team from Air Durham. The Smith & Smith Big V team has been struggling the last couple of times out but still showing lots of spirit and having fun, They lost to the Manvers team by a score of 4-2. Both teams played well. For Manvers squad Matthew Pegutter and Jesse Ward scored the goals and everyone on the team played well. For the Smith & Smith Jonathan Hamelick scored 2 goals along with his usual OR GS. Cain and Luss Pither both played their best effort by Cory Gerrits. Big V played against the LG.A. team in their last outing and played a fine with the goal scored by Michael McKenna and great games by Lucas Pither and Jonathan Hamelick. For the LG.A. squad, goals were popped in by Jeremy Bullock, Luke Doupe-Smith and Amy Rensink. A good game was played by Grant. Air Durham team is starting to show it is here to play soccer with a solid 2-0 victory over the Laurentian Bank team. This team found the goal in this game and also collected its first victory. games yet along with a good game coming out short 3-1° Ryan Cowie played well in Ry with Scott Partington and Oliver Mutton playing good games. In other action the J&D Carpentry team defeated the Port Perry 1.G.A. team by a score of 2-1. Zachary Will scored both goals. Tyler Welker, lan Wick played great offence and Cory Marlow and Dustin Curran played great in goal. For the 1.G.A. team, Amy Rensink scored the goal and Jeremy and Christopher played really well. The J&D Carpentry team also played the Laurentian Bank team and cgme up short by a score of 3.4 For the Bankesh it was Michael Wilson with 2 and Kirk Stephens 1. Good games were played by Spencer Marlow and Stefan Zochodne and the whole drew. For J&D the goal was scored by Danielle Bourgeois with a good game by Colleen McKeracher.
