She was one of many dog owners taking part In the Lake Ontario Hunting and Retriever Club, field and water trials at the Nonquon Conservation Area on Saturday. Mrs. DeMoor and her husband are members of Middlesex Retriever Club. Competitors came from all over Ontario for the trials held on Saturday. mp Scugog Citizen -- Tuesday, August 31,1993 --7 4 ° Three day Port Perry Fair opens this coming Saturday There is lots of exciting entertainment scheduled for the Port Perry Fair, coming up this Labour Day weekend. Saturday is KIDS DAY, all children are admitted free. We will. have face painting, pony rides, Betty and Barney Bear will be performing three shows, and cloggers. The midway will be running, children's games are scheduled, sheep shearing demonstrations. There will be continuous entertainment from 11:00 a.m. Saturday. There will also be cattle shows, horse shows and the Homecraft Buildings will be oper*for the public to see the exhibits. Sunday is another exciting day. There will be horse racing, horse shows, continuous entertainment, sheep shearing, cattle shows, midway and Port Seniors meeting The Port Perry Seniors held the Latcham Centre. All their monthly meeting at the Latcham Centre on August 25 1993 with President Stan Rickard in the chair. Clara Witter played the piano for the Seniors before the meeting. An informative talk on the Green Gables Retirement Home was presented by Kathleen Hickey. A trip to Branson is leaving September 25 1993. For information call 985-7676. Exercise and Line Dancing seniors welcome. Shuffleboard will commence in September. Drop in at the Latcham Centre any Wednesday morning for a coffee. all members are invited ta the Durham Senior €ouncils' get acquainted meeting in Ajax on September 19, 1993 at 1:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Next Senior's meeting is September 8, 1993. The September 22 meeting will be pot-luck. much much more. Monday will feature Cindy Cook (from Polka Dot Door) introduce her lovable friends Spelling Bee, Owlie and Bookwork. There will also be the midway, the ever popular chuckwagon races are returning, sheep shearing, continuous entertainment. Tanglefoot, a group from Peterborough will also be appearing on stage. On Labour Day Weekend, rain or shine, come to the fairgrounds and be a part of this outstanding cultural event. There is something for everyone. Judging takes place Friday night and all exhibitor items are on display for the duration of the three day Fair. It is highly recommended that exhibitors get their entry form to the Secretary before September 3. Each item must have an entry tag completed by office staff.
