The detail in the hands and the faces of these dolls is truly amazing as they appear so lifelike they look as if they could just get up and walk away. Kay and Sue formed Bartonbetg Originals just over a year ago, and already they have won prizes in juried art shows in Durham Region. : Kay is a native of West Virginia who majored in Bartonberg Original dolls are dazzling sculpting at West Virginia University and is well known in the States for her work in scrimshaw. Sue, a Canadian has been designing and making dolls for nine years and has a background in illustration and tailoring. Both are Yesidents of Port Perry. Their Father Christmas dolls, the shamans, wizards and earth people have rapidly become popular with collectors here and Bartonberg is now in the process of negotiating sales in the dUnited States where their creations will sell for $1,000.
