As for the band's name, how did it originate? "In the song 'Good Time Boys' sung by the Red Hot Chili Peppers there's a line reading 'Modern day braves with one stronghold' and the name of the group emerged from that song", says Joe. Originally called the Modern Day Braves, the group has now changed it to the singular and is officially now known as the Modern Day Brave The group recently completed their third engagement at The Horseshoe in Toronto, one of the top spots in the city for entertainment. Modern Day Brave has delighted audiences throughout Southern and Northern Ontario and their godl is to play at university cities across Canada What's unique about this talented group is that they compose their own style of music. Joe and Eric wfite the lyrics while the rest write the minstrel, thus creating their own original songs. A Halloween dance is being held this Friday evening at the Latcham Centre, featuring the Modern Day Brave, another live band, Yesteryear, and DJ music supplied from Circular Sounds In November, the band is booked at the Moon Room in Oshawa and in December they'll be playing at Sneaky Dee's nightclub in Toronto. Practicing five times a week, they enjoy each other's friendship and individually hope to make music their career. "Growing musically with each other" is how David describes thefr relationship.
