Don Card, in the Charger net, fresh from a certain birthday celebration, faced a blizzard of rubber as the Gambler boys took the offense and showed no mercy. Meanwhile at the other end of the frozen pond, Paul Goreski had an easier time that Don and recorded she Mark Jobb led the Riverboat crew with two goals and four helpers for a huge six-point morning. Doug Seeley, Steve Fox, Dave Bourgeois Don Hockley and Marvin Stevenson had singles. Fox had two assists with singles to Bourgeois, Keijo Kinnunen and Jody Peters. Game two had the Taylor Aces up against Fitzgerald Weed Control Clippers in a classic battle for first place. For some reason, the Clippers could not get all their players to the rink on time and they were never really able to get on track as the Aces dealt them a 5.3 defeat.
