So a super duper Christmas to you. by Stephanie Most memorable Christmas by Judy Strang It was Christmas of 1981 that was to be my most memorable Christmas ever. | was living in Kingston, Ont. at the time, and even though I am normally such a Christmas person, this year, all I felt was dread. I had been sharing an apartment with a friend who had moved out a few months earlier, leaving me to pay the rent myself. At that time | was working as a waitress, making enough only to cover my rent and a few bills. I literally had no money for food-my cupboards contained only bread, peanut butter, potatoes and juice. I had no money for Christmas presents, and no family to spend Christmas with. Needless to say things looked bleak. I had begun dating someone a month earlier, and had only met his parents once - so didn't expect to be sharing Christmas with his Family.
