Chairman of the local Peer Review Committee says "Through the process, farmers will be taught at workshops how to highlight environmental strength, identify areas of concern and learn to set realistic goals to improving environmental condition". Agriculture Canada and Agri- Food Canada suj the EFP process by funding a 1993 pilot project whereby 460 farmers from sevén areas of Ontario participated ahd these people were very positive in the entire process. The continued support of these two departments is anticipated from the federal Green Plan, to deliver the EFP process across the province, beginning in January 1994. It's hoped that by the year 2000 every farmer in the province will have completed an EFP. Beginning in February 1994 province-wide EFP workshops and peer review will be offered through the local Soil & Crop Improvement Associations.
